Taking a 5 day break from the World Cup Circuit
As you can see, this is a modified lawn mower. We found a plow for the front on Craig's List, and drove down to Silver Springs to purchase that. Then we welded my old compressor tank onto the back and filled it up with water for weight. It was really noisy, so we put on some mufflers; we tweaked out the engine, so that it ran smoothly. And there, you have it: a great snow plow for the ski cross course in the front yard, as well as for plowing the driveway on heavy snow days.

Alpine Meadows put on an awesome party for the Jamaica Ski Team.
The party was scheduled for 2-6 pm, but when I left at 7pm, it was still going strong. Moms and Dads were there with their kids. We gave away lots of Jamaica Ski Team stickers. 100.1 FM reggae radio from Reno was on site. Thanks to all of you who showed up. Here are some photos with Stephanie and Natalie Shaw-King. Their father is a ski coach at Alpine Meadows, and also an NBS member. National Brotherhood of Skiers
Among those watching at the Lake Placid event was Jamaican Cliff Johnson. Since October 2008, Cliff has been a dedicated supporter of the Jamaica Ski Team. He drove from Toronto, Canada for 6 hours to watch Errol compete, and when Errol placed 2nd in the qualifier, Cliff was flying the Jamaican flag. Here are some photos of Cliff at the event, as well as the Jamaica Ski Team. THANK YOU CLIFF FOR DRIVING FROM TORONTO!!!!! Henri Rivers came with his wife all the way from NYC to cheer on Erol.
