Equipment repair is the least glamorous album here and the most consequential. A snowblower or a loader that goes down mid-storm is not a maintenance item, it is a contract at risk — Sierra snow operations run to a window measured in hours, and there is no rental yard nearby with a spare on the lot at 3am.

The work in this album is mostly field-welded: cracked frames, worn cutting edges, broken chute assemblies, bucket and blade repair, hydraulic bracketry. Field welding trades ideal conditions for access — you are working cold, often outdoors, on a machine that cannot be moved and steel whose exact composition nobody recorded. Getting it to hold means reading the base metal, prepping properly in bad conditions, and building the repair stronger than the original section so the crack does not simply migrate.
