Structural steel is the album with signatures on it. Pavilions, mezzanines, and residential and commercial framework across the Tahoe basin — beams, columns, base plates, stair stringers — engineered, permitted and inspected, which means the fabrication has to match a drawing exactly and the welds have to pass somebody else's eye.

That changes the process rather than the craft. Procedure is specified rather than chosen, joints are prepped to the detail, and material traceability matters because an inspector may ask. Sierra loading drives the design inputs: ground snow load here is a serious number, so connections and base plates are sized for it, and anything exposed gets a coating spec chosen for altitude UV and freeze-thaw rather than for looks.
